Keen to explore the mountains, but held back by your map reading skills? Let our experts teach you the skills of mountain navigation amongst the splendour of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Introduction to Outdoor Climbing
Take your first steps on real rock, suitable for complete beginners or those with some indoor top roping experience.

Rock Improvers
Suitable for those with previous outdoor experience who can tie-in and belay competently. The focus will be on identifying areas of weakness and refining technique.

Introduction to Leading (Sport)
Progress from the comfort of a top rope to life on the sharp end. We will cover the core skills required to become a competent leader using bolts for protection.

Introduction to Leading (Traditional)
For those who already have some experience of climbing outdoors, and feel ready to take on the challenge of leading on traditional gear. We will cover the core skills, both technical and mental that are needed to become a competent leader, able to place their own protection.

Introduction to Multi-Pitch (Traditional)

If you’ve been inspired by images of climbers high up on towering cliffs, whether the atmospheric cliffs of Snowdonia or the blank looking walls of Yosemite, then this course is for you. You will need previous experience of outdoor single pitch climbing.

Guided Classic Climbs
Experience the excitement and spectacular scenery of some of Wales’ finest climbs in the safe hands of an AMI instructor.

Introduction to Scrambling

If you feel inspired to tackle some of Wales’ most famous scrambles, but feel you may not have the skills to do so safely, then this is the course for you. On the first day we will focus on movement and basic rope work skills. On the second day, we will tackle some of Snowdonias’most spectacular mountaineering routes to some of its finest summits.

Gorge Walking
Gorge walking is an adrenaline fuelled activity involving ascending a steep river gorge by any means possible. You will scramble up rocks, swim through crystal clear waters, crawl behind waterfalls and jump into deep pools. It is sometimes known by other names such as ghyll scrambling or canyoning.

If you want either a fun day out without instruction or one to one tuition then try private guiding. Perhaps you have a specific route you have always dreamt of climbing. We offer guided climbing not just in North Wales but throughout the UK.

Based on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park we have some of the most accessible mountains in the UK right on our doorstep. The long escarpments of the Black Mountains with its medieval churches, the dramatic landscape of the Brecon Beacons and the ancient sites of the Preseli Mountains.
